The Dawn of a New Year

With the dawn of a new year, we stand on the threshold of time not merely to bid farewell to the past year, but to reflect on what it has taught us.

Years do not pass in vain, and each departing year takes with it faces, moments, and old versions of ourselves that will never return.

Last year, people we knew, loved, or who once passed through our lives, left this world.

They were here, then they were no more… They left behind a silent truth: that time cannot be postponed, and that permanence is not an entitlement.

And in this new year, others will depart: friendships that fade, closeness that transforms into memory, and a presence that was once safe has become a familiar absence.

We do not only lose people;

We lose conversations, habits, and the versions of ourselves we were with them. We change, we mature, we suffer, we endure, and we move forward carrying a deeper understanding of life:

That everything is temporary, and that departure takes many forms.

Therefore, may the new year be an opportunity for reflection, not fear;

To soften our harshness and postpone our disputes;

To speak kind words before it's too late;

And to cultivate good relations while closeness is still possible.

Welcome to the new year…

We don't ask for miracles,

But rather for greater awareness and a kinder heart.

While we are here, it is always best to leave a positive impact

Before departure comes,

In whatever form it may take. 🌱
